Windows XP reboots when I turn it off

When you shut down your computer it always reboot. There are three basic sources to cause this problem.
1. Recovery settings
2. Software incompatibilities, including driver issues
3. BIOS problems

Recovery settings
1. Right click on my computer
2. Choose properties
3. Advance tab and under Startup and Recovery choose settings
4. Untick Automatically restart and click OK
5. Reboot your computer
Software incompatibilities, including driver issues
Install new software or driver can cause your computer automatically reboot. When you got this problem you should carefully to read a message when you start up your computer or when you starting to use a program for researching your computer problem if there’s a message appear. Many of us install numerious programs and drivers for a year. And you may happy to use those programs. So, you should follow instruction carefully when you setup or update the program or driver. If you have critical on sofware update or driver you should do an update. Windows update can help you to keep you up to date too.
BIOS problems
Sometimes, when you install new hardwares on your machine it can cause to shutdown problem too. Solving this problem you should find BIOS update if it’s available from your manufaturer.

Turning auto-restart off doesn’t help us to solve the problems, but it’s useful to trace the problems. I did encounter this with my graphics driver, too old driver
